Hi

I've got a brand new Redbee, and it does no longer reacts to swipes.

Initially it worked, then it started to display 1 1 1 1 1 swipes when I did nothing. Now it does not blink nor outputs anything on USB serial when swiping.

Did someone ever experience this?

The only weird thing I noticed before it happened was a lot of heat on the other side of the XBee module.

Thanks a lot

What type of XBee module do you have attached and how are you powering the RedBee?

It's a classic XBee module (not pro), with a PCB antenna (XBee DigiMesh 2.4 low-power module w/ PCB antenna).

I powered the RedBee via USB. I tried with a DC connector (V+ on center tap), after removing the USB power jumper.

I tried without XBee modules and it does not react either.

Even without an XBee module, USB power is usually insufficient to power the RedBee. It will still operate, but at a limited capacity. Some powered USB hubs can support the full power requirements of the RedBee, but not many direct connections to USB ports can.

Try removing the XBee module, powering with a DC power source, setting the COM jumper to USB, and using USB to communicate with the RedBee. If you can still communicate with it, issue a factory reset command (RTR). If the RedBee is in XB mode, then you must issue the command to the RedBee DID in SSDP format.
