I just found a company that creates 13.56MHz high frequency glass tags. Amazing!

I've also tried to contact them, but I never got any reply. Do you know where to buy these? Do you have their direct email address?

The LEGIC tags at least work with the «cestronics OMEGA LEGIC»
system, but I haven't tried the «sausage test» that means
putting a tag inside a sausage to test the read range when
«implanted».
 

I don't exactly know which of these ICs support challenge/response protection etc., but
I think to look into the LEGIC or Mifare specs might be helpful. LEGIC is widely used in
access technology in bigger systems. There is a unique ID that can be used as a «low level» read only method, but there are systems where the configuration is write or spread to the reading terminals over the RFID tags.
LEGIC is often used in recreational application like camping sites, and I think the the «great wolf lodge» uses it too in their wristbands.

I gave up contacting the Intelli-Bio company, because they don't like selling their stuff to me, as I am not a laboratory and I am too «popular» what I want to do with these tags. I tried to get their tags over a cousin who was living in Ireland 2 years ago and working for a laboratory, but they didn't want to give her the samples. But if you know a tag using your wanted security features, why not contact www.b-id.eu? Maybe there is a possibility to manufacture them. If they are available in the right size, they can be technically put into the glass tubes.
But I think the LEGIC system is one of the safest at the moment, because Mifare was hacked.
But in comparison of mechanical locks, I think the «unsafest» RFID system might be more secure. If you leave your key unattended for only a minute, there is no problem to make a copy, even patented and restricted mechanical keys can be copied. There was once a lawsuit against a company who made a «key-scanner» to virtually copy any key you wanted. So if there is a very good secured door with all kinds of secure locks on a house, it is much easier to get in on an other way: Wait until a truck passes by (loud), throw a stone in the «right» window (loud), get in and nobody will notice it, especially in the daytime when everybody is at work...
That is the reality here in Germany, thieves break in houses not in the night, they do it from 9 am to 2 pm.
