I've not seen any high temp antennas, but I've not been looking. I'm sure they exist somewhere. Check DigiKey and Mouser for starters, then move on to specialty RFID shops that focus on industrial process.

Sounds reasonable.  Was looking for a one piece solution.  Maybe better to have two (antenna/status leds vs. processing components).

Are there good pre-made, enclosed antennas?  I don't want to get into packaging and antenna tuning.

Hmm, unless you want to lower it into a volcano, I think you might look into high temp external antennas. Rather than subjecting the entire reader to high temps, you only have to get the antenna portion close to the tag... and a simple coil of wire deals with heat much better than electronics.

I need an HID Prox reader that can handle high temperatures.  Anyone know a supplier for this?  I need greater than 150F.  Maybe military spec suppliers? I don't even know where to start.

Google finds hi temp cards but not readers.

Thanks!
